Bid 641 Thermal Body Scanners (Re-Bid)

Bid Documents

The District intends to award to Cantronics at the 11/18/2020 board meeting

Reading thru the above RFP Bid 641, I do not notice any request for installation, wiring, mounting etc. Is this specifically a hardware bid request or do you intend us to do the installation. If so, there would need to be site visits & assessments done to where the cameras are going to quote accurate installation.

The District does not anticipate needing installation. The District is requesting equipment and delivery to school sites. Should the District require any assistance during the setup of the equipment, it will reach out to the awarded company for guidance.

I have a quick submission question for bid #641 that our company is answering. On the documentation, it states: Submit Electronic Bids to: Deanna.Rantz@oxnardunion.org via electronic submission only. Original bid security documents must be provided in hard copy prior to the bid deadline. Oxnard Union High School District 309 South K Street, Building G, Attn: Deanna Rantz Oxnard CA 93030 Does this mean that we are to submit BOTH electronically and in mailed hard copy or is ONLY an electronic submission required. Please let me know?
Both the bid package and bid security copy should be emailed but only the bid security is due in hard copy by the bid due date and time.
Can we submit more than 1 option in the RFP response?

The District would like one option that meets or exceeds our specifications.

We have some question regarding the Bid641. Any insight is appreciated. – The RFI asks for specific accuracy, will the school accept any specifications lower than the requested numbers below? Thermal Accuracy: ±0.18°F Sensitivity: ≤50mK nominal

The equipment you are bidding must be equal to or better than the District specifications.

Just to confirm, the security documents are the Bid Bond Document required by the district & the surety check itself. Is there anything else that has to be submitted in hard copy?
The Bid Security is due in hard to the District no later than the bid due date and time. Bid Security is either a Bid Bond OR a certified or cashier’s check…. it is NOT both.
Is there a reference device that these specs and requirements are based ?
